The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for blowing and drifting snow... which is in
effect until 9 am CST this morning. The Winter Storm Warning has
been cancelled.

* Timing... blowing and drifting snow will continue early this
morning.

* Hazards... northwest winds gusting to 30 mph will result in
considerable blowing and drifting snow... especially in open and
rural areas.

* Impacts... blowing will drift back onto already cleared roadways
making travel hazardous... especially in open areas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for blowing snow means that
visibilities will be limited due to strong winds blowing snow
around. Use caution when traveling... especially in open areas.

inches... shattering the previous daily snowfall record 8.9 inches
for February 9 set back in 1885. Not only did this set a new daily
