Weather Underground Forecast for Sunday, May 11, 2008. An interesting weather pattern will persist throughout the continent Sunday.

A cutoff low pressure system will gradually move up the east coast of Spain. This will result in showery weather along the coast and light to moderate rain along the border of Spain and France and into northern Spain. Some moisture from this low will move eastward into southern France, Sardinia, and Corsica.

Meanwhile, a high pressure system will remain generally anchored over the North Sea with just a little westward movement. This will produce dry weather from Poland through the United Kingdom.

A storm will ride over the high pressure system and slam into the Scandinavian Peninsula. This feature will produce rain and a few snow showers along the west coast of the country and into northern Sweden.

A broad low pressure system over the Black Sea and western Russia will instigate scattered areas of rain throughout the region. Some of this precipitation will move into eastern Poland late in the day.

London will rise into the upper 70s(F)/mid-20s(C), while Paris will see temperatures in the lower 70s(F)/lower 20s(C). Moscow will rise into the mid-60s(F)/upper 10s(C).
